Last class we started to model the car, using the 3D printer files as a path. While modeling we put these files in another layer and block it. Then started to make curves, using the top view in order to create the basic form of the car. For this exercise we use an application called "project in plane c", this help to create curves in just one plane. Then we do the same exercise but now in the lateral view.
At the end, when we already had the curves needed to create the surfaces we use the application called “barrido por dos carriles”

Class Report (28/01/09)
Last class we saw another program of 3D scanning, called Dr. Picza. This scaning sorfware works with a needle that detects the shape of the object that is scanning.
Also we learn how to use it.
Establish Control x,y,z axes, it has a certain depth
Select the scan area by moving coordinates or by moving the area
Select quality
1. Prepare the object,
2. Select y, then x, then z
3. must be were the coordinates start
4. Select the top, then click on accept (límite superior)
5. Test , and scan
6. Wait, it would tell the time that it takes
7. Click “File” then select “export” to different programs
After scanning an object you can save the file and open it in rinho or you can use that file to print it in a 3D printing.
